Frequently Asked Questions
About Ivy, our products, and how we work.
What does DoneStreet actually do?
DoneStreet builds AI systems that handle the front-of-house work most businesses lose revenue on — answering calls, following up with leads, qualifying prospects, and booking meetings. We also do AI integration and custom software for businesses that need more tailored solutions. We build it, deploy it, and stay involved long-term.
What specific products do you offer?
AI SDR — contacts your inbound leads in seconds and works through your CRM database, qualifying prospects and booking meetings automatically.
AI Call Answering — Ivy answers every inbound call 24/7, handles questions, qualifies callers, and books appointments — even at 2am.
AI Voice Agents — custom voice agents deployed as receptionists, after-hours agents, support handlers, booking agents, or any combination.
Website AI Widget — embeddable voice, chat, and phone widget for your website that engages and qualifies visitors in real time.
Stale Lead Reactivation — Ivy works through aged leads in your CRM that your team won't call, surfacing the meetings buried in your database.
AI Audit & Integration — we map your workflows, identify AI opportunities, and build the automations that deliver the clearest ROI.
Custom Software — purpose-built applications for businesses that have outgrown off-the-shelf tools.
Can we use multiple products together?
Yes, and most clients do. A common setup is AI Call Answering for inbound calls, the AI SDR for lead follow-up, and a website widget to capture visitors — all running through the same underlying voice agent, Ivy. We'll recommend which combination makes the most sense after we understand your workflow.
What industries do you work with?
Strong fits include law firms, medical and dental clinics, real estate teams, home services businesses, financial services companies, insurance agencies, car dealerships, and B2B service companies. If your business has inbound leads, a phone, and a need for follow-up, there's almost certainly a clear win here. We'll tell you honestly if it's not a fit.
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
No. You need to know what outcomes matter to your business — more leads followed up, fewer missed calls, more bookings, less manual work. We handle everything else. You don't manage a developer, you don't need to understand the technology, and you won't be left with something you can't manage.
Who is Ivy?
Ivy is DoneStreet's AI voice agent. She handles phone calls, web conversations, and lead follow-up the way a highly trained human would — but 24/7, at scale, with no sick days or missed shifts. She's deployed across our AI SDR, AI Call Answering, and Website Widget products. The same voice agent, configured differently for each use case.
What does Ivy actually sound like?
Natural, conversational, and human — not robotic, not scripted, not a phone tree. She pauses naturally, handles interruptions, responds to unexpected questions, and adjusts her tone based on the conversation. The best way to judge is to try her. There's a live demo on the homepage and on our AI Voice Agents page — click the widget and talk to her directly.
Will people know they're talking to an AI?
Ivy is designed to sound human — most people won't immediately identify her as AI. That said, Ivy does not claim to be human if sincerely asked. She'll acknowledge she's an AI assistant if a caller directly asks. This is both the ethical approach and the legally required one in most jurisdictions. Most callers focus on the quality of the conversation, not on what's behind it.
What can Ivy handle on a call?
Ivy handles full two-way conversations — she's not reading from a script. She can greet callers, gather information, answer questions about your business, qualify the caller against your criteria, handle common objections, book appointments directly into your calendar, drop a voicemail, and flag the outcome for your team. She handles the entire call end to end.
What happens when Ivy can't answer something?
If a caller has a question Ivy isn't configured to handle, she can tell them she'll have someone from the team follow up, collect their details, and flag the call for your team. She doesn't make things up or guess. We train her on your specific business so she handles the questions your callers actually ask.
How fast does Ivy respond to new inbound leads?
Under 60 seconds from the lead coming in. Speed-to-lead is one of the highest-leverage variables in conversion — leads contacted within the first minute convert at dramatically higher rates than leads contacted an hour later. Ivy responds immediately, regardless of what time the lead arrives.
Who can Ivy contact? Are there restrictions on who she can call?
Ivy is designed for warm and inbound contacts — people who have previously engaged with your business, submitted a form, called your office, or are existing CRM contacts. She is not designed for cold outbound calling to people who have never heard of you. This is both our policy and a legal requirement in most jurisdictions. The use cases where Ivy creates the most value — inbound follow-up, CRM reactivation, appointment reminders — are all warm by nature.
Can Ivy reactivate old leads in my CRM?
Yes — this is one of the highest-ROI use cases. Most CRMs are full of leads that came in, had one or two touchpoints, and went cold. They didn't say no — they just got lost. Ivy works through those lists systematically, re-engaging contacts and surfacing the ones who are ready to move forward. We offer a free 2-week pilot on this: try it on 100 of your leads at no charge and we'll show you what's buried in your database. Learn about the free pilot →
Does Ivy book meetings directly, or does she just qualify?
Both. Ivy qualifies the prospect on the call and, if they're interested, books the meeting directly into your calendar — right on the call, no email follow-up required. The meeting lands in your calendar while Ivy moves to the next contact. Your team only steps in for the meetings that are already confirmed.
What happens when someone calls my business through Ivy?
Ivy answers immediately — no hold music, no voicemail. She greets the caller using your business name, collects their information, answers their questions, qualifies them based on your criteria, and either books an appointment or routes the call appropriately. Every call outcome is logged automatically.
Can Ivy handle multiple calls at the same time?
Yes. Ivy handles hundreds of simultaneous conversations. There's no queue, no hold time, and no limit based on your team size. Every caller gets an immediate response regardless of how many other people are calling at the same time.
What if a caller needs to speak to a human?
Ivy can be configured to transfer calls to your team for specific situations — urgent issues, existing clients, complex questions that need human judgment. We set the routing rules based on your workflow. For situations where a transfer isn't possible, Ivy takes a message and flags it for immediate follow-up.
How does the website widget work?
The widget is a small button that sits in the corner of your website. When a visitor clicks it, they can choose to talk to Ivy by voice (directly from their browser, no phone needed), chat with her by text, or request a phone callback. Ivy handles the conversation from there — answering questions, qualifying the visitor, and booking them into your calendar if they're interested.
How do I add the widget to my site?
We give you a single line of code that you paste into your website. It works on any platform — WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, custom-built sites, anything. Once it's in, the widget appears automatically and Ivy is live. Most clients have it running within a day of going live.
How quickly can we go live?
AI voice products (call answering, SDR, website widget) typically go live in 1–2 weeks from the start of the build. We configure Ivy for your business, integrate with your calendar and CRM, test, and deploy. Custom software and more complex AI integrations take longer — usually 6–12 weeks for an initial version.
How much does it cost?
We work on a monthly partnership model — not a one-time build fee. Pricing depends on what you need and is always framed around ROI. If we don't think the system will produce a return that clearly justifies its cost, we'll tell you before you spend anything. We scope everything after we understand your situation — book a call and we'll give you a clear picture.
What is the free AI audit?
A structured review of how your business runs — your lead flow, workflows, team touchpoints, and where time or revenue is slipping. We identify the specific AI opportunities that would produce the clearest ROI and give you a prioritized plan. You keep the findings regardless of what you decide next. It's free, no obligation, and most businesses come out of it with 2–3 obvious wins they can act on immediately.
Do you stay involved after launch, or is it a hand-off?
We stay involved. We monitor performance, optimize Ivy's scripts and logic, add new use cases as your business evolves, and maintain everything ongoing. You're not left with a system that drifts or breaks quietly. This is a partnership, not a project.
Should I automate with AI or hire staff?
AI is the right choice for work that's repetitive, time-sensitive, or needs to happen outside business hours — following up on every lead in seconds, answering every call, sending reminders, logging call outcomes. Hiring is right for work that requires real judgment, relationship-depth, or creative problem-solving. The best setups use AI to handle the volume work so human team members can focus on the conversations that actually need them.
How is this different from just using a generic AI chatbot?
Generic AI chatbots answer generic questions. What we build is configured for your business — your services, your qualification criteria, your calendar, your CRM, your call routing. Ivy isn't a template dropped onto your site. She's trained on your specific workflows and connected to your existing tools. The difference in outcome is significant.
